Apogee Corporation Ltd is seeking an IT Field Technician to join our Managed Desktop Services team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining laptops, desktops, RPOS systems and related hardware across customer sites.

You will split your time between on-site visits and remote support, resolving hardware and software faults, installing Windows OS, and guiding users clearly while upholding service quality and first-time fix targets.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing laptops or PCs hardware.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software and operating systems (Windows essential).
• Experience with diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques.
• Confident troubleshooting across hardware and basic networking.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults across laptops, desktops and peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems including Windows and other platforms.
• Support users onsite and remotely, providing clear, practical guidance.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements and system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot printers, connectivity issues and RPOS hardware.
• Complete accurate job records, service notes and repair documentation.
• Follow data protection, backup and security procedures.
• Escalate more complex issues when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication.
• Keep up to date with hardware tools, technologies and repair methods.
