Job summary

Key requirements include proven hardware repair or IT support experience, strong Windows knowledge, and a full driving licence. DBS and SC clearance checks apply; typical pattern is Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in laptop or PC hardware repair or IT support.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows essential).
• Experience using diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques.
• Confident troubleshooting across hardware and basic networking issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software faults across laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems including Windows and other platforms.
• Supporting users onsite and remotely with clear guidance.
• Carrying out repairs, component replacements and system upgrades.
• Troubleshooting printers, connectivity issues, and RPOS hardware.
• Completing accurate job records and repair documentation.
• Following data protection, backup, and security procedures.
• Escalating complex issues when required.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and communication.
• Keeping up to date with hardware tools and repair methods.
