Job summary

CDW UK is seeking an Onsite Engineer / IT Support Technician base at Carmarthen or Worcester, with 3–5 days per week on-site and travel to other sites across the region. The role covers Windows OS/Server support, user and hardware assistance, and BAU IT operations.

You will work across multiple locations, perform server tasks, maintain hardware, and contribute to project delivery. Full training is provided to develop in non-standard environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or service desk is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and networking.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites and work on-site across locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support at Carmarthen or Worcester 3-5 days per week.
• Travel to other sites to assist with project work and cover
• Provide Windows 10/11 support, troubleshooting, and event log analysis.
• Offer software support and limited hardware support, including break/fix and fault finding.
• Manage Microsoft Server OS tasks: Joiners, Leavers, DHCP, DNS, ADDS, and VAMT.
• Perform BAU tasks: antivirus monitoring, storage/capacity management, hardware health checks, auditing.
• Carry out office moves, hardware installations, and basic server maintenance (Lenovo workstations and Dell servers).
• Update records and ticketing systems; follow SOPs; create process documentation for internal and customer use.
