Job summary

CDW UK is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician / Onsite Engineer to support a secure policing environment. The role is primarily Worcester-based with regular travel to Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Bristol, including occasional assignments from Cheltenham/Gloucester.

You will handle desktop support, hardware maintenance and project assistance, with full training and support in obtaining necessary security clearances. A company car allowance supports regional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, service desk, field engineering, or desktop support.
• Strong Windows 10/11 and Windows Server knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Located within a reasonable commute of Worcester and eligible for SC/NPPV clearance.
• Experience with Lenovo/HP/Dell hardware; Active Directory familiarity.
• Experience in secure/public sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support across police and secure customer locations.
• Assist with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server tasks.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Perform break/fix maintenance and hardware replacements.
• Support AD, DNS, DHCP administration.
• Assist with office moves and workstation deployments.
• Maintain ticket updates and documentation.
• Support project work and regional coverage.
• Work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
