Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across a busy customer environment. The role involves incident handling, SLA-driven resolution, and support for internal/external project tasks onsite in Dunfermline.

The candidate should be proficient with Windows 10/11, Office, and ITSM tools, with strong customer service skills and willingness to work flexible hours. UK driving license and SC clearance eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Windows 10/11 knowledge with build/configuration/registry basics.
• Experience with LTSC Channels and KIOSK is a plus.
• Basic understanding of SCCM and Active Directory.
• Networking basics: LAN/WAN/VLAN, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS/WINS, VPN.
• Microsoft Exchange and Outlook familiarity.
• Peripheral devices knowledge (printers, displays, docks).
• ITSM software experience, preferably ServiceNow.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem solving.
• Valid UK driving licence; SC clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Undertake incident and request tasks
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA
• Maintain a <2% incident per month target
• Complete assigned works within defined timeframes
• Support Project Managers on project tasks
• Handle Non-Standard Requests within agreed timescales
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams to highlight major issues
• Resolve technical issues for laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers, etc.
• Install and configure software and hardware
