Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical assistance in Northallerton. You will handle 2nd line incidents, fulfill service requests, and ensure timely resolution while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong Windows knowledge, familiarity with Active Directory and ITSM tools, and the ability to coordinate with Level 3 teams. Onsite, full-time position with UK driving license and SC clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 including build and registry settings.
• Experience with LTSC channels and KIOSK is desirable.
• Basic understanding of SCCM/Active Directory and IT service models.
• Networking proficiency including LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPN/remote connectivity.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line incident and request support to SLA.
• Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests across user environments.
• Install and configure software and hardware on desktops and laptops.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues and project tasks.
• Respond to non-standard requests within agreed timescales.
• Maintain a low monthly incident rate (<2%).
• Support IT hardware peripherals and printing devices.
