About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining store appearance.

You will play an essential role in daily store operations, focusing on customer satisfaction and store safety.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural service.
• Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
• Assisting across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
• Practicing safety protocols learned during training.
• Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
• Understanding store performance and contributing to profitability.
• Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
• Clocking in and out accurately for payroll.
• Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
• Adhering to the 'think 25' policy for age-restricted products.
• Responding promptly to assistance calls, especially at checkouts.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
• Completing all relevant training for safety and legality.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties will include managing Post Office operations, requiring a background check which must be passed to proceed.
