Location: One Garden Brighton, Stanmer Park
Salary: £12.60 per hour + £1.63 holiday pay
Hours: Flexible shifts between 8:00am - 6:00pm, including some evenings and weekends
Contract Type: Casual - shift allocations as agreed on a rota basis with manager.

We're looking for Catering & Retail Assistants to join our friendly and dynamic team. As part of Plumpton College, One Garden Brighton is a unique destination that blends horticulture, heritage, and hospitality. Since opening in 2021, we've become a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike.

What You'll Be Doing

• Serving customers with a smile in our shop, bakery, and café
• Preparing barista-style drinks and maintaining high food hygiene standards
• Replenishing stock and ensuring our displays look fantastic
• Supporting events and seasonal activities in the Walled Garden
• Using EPOS tills and handling cash with care
• Sharing your knowledge of our products, events, and ethos with visitors
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver a seamless guest experience

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail or hospitality experience (ideally in a visitor attraction)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Barista training (preferred)
• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings
• Food hygiene and first aid qualifications (desirable)
