Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking an experienced Social Worker to support customers and colleagues. The role is on-site across multiple offices, including Leicester, and involves assessments, safeguarding, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver tailored support.

You will require a Social Work Degree with current registration (Social Work England), plus several years of relevant experience in adult social care. Practical educator qualification is a plus and a driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a range of customers who have various needs. Conduct assessments and support plans and refer to local authorities where appropriate, ensuring safeguarding concerns are recognised.
• Conduct needs assessments and consider ability to pay to recommend best support actions.
• Signpost customers to sources of help and offer appropriate support packages.
• Carry out customer follow-ups to ensure cases reach resolution.
• Collaborate with other agencies and make referrals where appropriate.
• Keep updated with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Offer ongoing dynamic support to energy specialists.
