Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a passionate social worker to support customers and colleagues across our UK offices. The role is on-site and involves assessments, safeguarding considerations and collaboration with local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for customers.

You will have a Social Work Degree with registration, 5+ years post-qualifying experience, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while building rapport with our energy specialists and customers.

Qualifications

• Social Work Degree and current registration with Social Work England.
• ASYE required.
• Minimum of 5 years post qualifying Social Work experience.
• Practice Educator qualification is highly desired.
• Experience in adult social care, ideally with mental health exposure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and develop support plans for customers.
• Refer to local authorities where appropriate and recognise safeguarding concerns.
• Signpost customers to relevant support packages and resources.
• Carry out follow-ups to ensure cases reach resolution.
• Work with other agencies and make referrals when needed.
• Keep up to date with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide ongoing dynamic support to energy specialists.
