Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a passionate social worker to support customers and colleagues. The role is primarily on-site at offices including Leicester, Coventry, Manchester, London, and Brighton, with travel to occasional locations.

You will conduct needs assessments, develop support plans, and refer to local authorities while ensuring safeguarding. A Social Work Degree and current registration are required, with ASYE and Practice Educator qualifications highly valued.

Qualifications

• Social Work Degree and current registration with Social Work England.
• ASYE required.
• Practice Educator qualification is highly desired.
• Experience in adult social care, preferably with mental health exposure.
• Ability to use initiative with sensitive customer scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and create support plans with safeguarding considerations.
• Assess needs and financial ability to pay to advise best support actions.
• Signpost and refer to appropriate support packages.
• Follow up on cases to ensure resolution and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other agencies and referrals where needed.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide ongoing dynamic support to energy specialists.
