Overview

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic individuals to join our established team of on-call crisis workers at SAFE Place, our Merseyside Sexual Assault Referral Centre site in Liverpool.

The post holder will provide crisis management for patients that attend the Centre for a forensic medical examination outside of normal office hours.

This is a bank contract providing 24/7 on‑call cover across various shifts.

Compensation and Schedule
  • Pay: £20 per on‑call shift (increasing to £30 for Sat/Sun midnight–8am).
  • Call-out/phone support rate: £15.45 per hour.
  • Rota: Minimum of 4 on‑call shifts per month.

To support adults and young people, full training will be provided. The role includes telephone support, information, and crisis management for clients attending forensic medical examinations.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in supportive roles with an understanding of safeguarding.

  • Excellent organisation, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to attend SAFE Place Merseyside (Liverpool) within 30–60 minutes.
  • A car and clean driving licence are essential.
