Job summary

Job description
Job Summary

30 hours per week – seven days a week between 08:00 and 20:00. The role is a combination of long days and short days.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide a response to Mental Health Crisis in Emergency Departments and Inpatient Wards within one hour and to all urgent Ward referrals within 24 hours.
  • Complete a full biopsychosocial assessment, formulation and contribute to treatment and collaborative care plans.
  • Offer brief evidence‑based interventions as inpatient or short‑term outpatient follow‑up.
  • Work within Rotherham General Hospital to reduce length of stay on general hospitals and improve follow‑up care.
  • Provide advice and support to Rotherham General Hospital Staff regarding mental health care for their patients.
