Job description

The Office of the CIO Manager is responsible for the design and development of change process, governance and associated formal reporting across Digital Services to meet mandates and defined standards of excellence. Leading the Office of the CDIO, the post holder ensures that Digital Services as a division are delivering activities aligned to the Trust and digital strategic objectives. The post also ensures the Digital SMT are informed about key areas of focus, through 'deep-dive' analysis and reporting.

Main Duties of the Job
Strategy
  • Work with the CDIO, CCIOs and Associate Directors to define the medium-term objectives across Digital Services and lead across digital services to monitor progress of activities contributing to the delivery of the digital strategy objectives.
  • Develop formal and informal reporting methods to communicate progress on activities.
Business Administration
  • Lead the Digital Services business planning cycles and provide leadership to the OCIO business administration team, working with senior managers across Digital Services.
  • Lead the coordination of a consistent risk management and reporting process.
Digital Change and Governance
  • Responsible for development and implementation of the Digital change management policy.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to continuous improvement of change management processes and reporting systems.
General
  • Interpret and communicate highly complex and sometimes contentious information.
  • Responsible for development of policies and procedures relating to the Office of the CIO.
  • Responsible for the management of Digital budgets, ensuring Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs) are adhered to.
