Construction Office Manager/Administrator, Tiverton

Salary: £27-£30k per annum plus company benefits

Role Description:

Due to company growth my client has an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to join an established regional main contractor based near Tiverton. The company has been operating for over 30 years working on construction projects ranging from ‘one of’ houses to commercial new builds and public sector projects. Projects range in value from £25k-£2m. The role will involve working alongside construction professionals including the commercial, pre-construction and operations department. This is a great opportunity to help and be part of an established business that is expanding its growth plans and turnover.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contracts Admin: Including printing, organising drawings, O&M files, and setting up new contracts.
  • Managing the company management system making sure information is uploaded and downloaded as and when required.
  • General Admin: Filing, answering incoming calls, and handling day-to-day office tasks.
  • Estimating Admin: Sending out enquiries, printing tender documents, and supporting the estimating team.
  • Commercial Support: Approving new subcontractors, updating insurance records, and managing our contractor database.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft programs is essential.
  • Teamwork: Able to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Candidate:

  • Have strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) with experience in data entry, filing, and document management
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Be adaptable and comfortable working across different departments, including, Contracts, Estimating Admin, and Commercial

Be willing to learn and grow within the role, with full training and opportunities for further development provided. Candidate will have construction experience working in this sector and be used to working in a fast-paced construction environment. They will also need to live within easy daily commute of Tiverton as this is an office-based role in Tiverton.
