A local educational recruitment agency in Birmingham is seeking a full-time Office Manager/Administrator for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). The role involves managing school communications, attendance records, and supporting the Head Teacher's operational needs. Office Manager / Administrator - PRU School (Full-Time, Birmingham)
8:00am-4:00pm Immediate Start

Academics are currently working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Birmingham that is seeking a confident, resilient and highly organised Office Manager/Administrator to join their team on a full‑time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong candidate who can handle a fast‑paced environment and is not phased by the challenges that naturally come with working in a PRU.

Key Responsibilities (Experience Required)
  • Confident use and management of CPOMS and BROMCOM
  • Strong IT skills and ability to manage multiple digital systems
  • Handling the school mobile phone and general communication lines
  • Recording attendance, monitoring data and contacting parents
  • Managing and maintaining the school calendar
  • Reporting staff/student absences and producing suspension letters
  • Logging receipts and maintaining accurate spreadsheets
  • Liaising daily with the Attendance Officer and Pastoral Manager
  • Working closely alongside the Head Teacher to support operational needs
The Ideal Candidate
  • Calm, reliable and able to work under pressure
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Experienced in a PRU or alternative provision (preferred but not essential)
  • Able to communicate confidently with staff, parents and external agencies
  • Ready to take ownership of their role and keep the office running smoothly
