Occupational Therapist
Full Time (37.5 hours per week) – Essex

A leading provider of specialist neurorehabilitation services is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team at a dedicated brain injury rehabilitation facility located near Colchester, Essex. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and compassionate environment, delivering care and rehabilitation to individuals with complex neurological needs, including those recovering from acquired or traumatic brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapy Interventions: Plan and deliver effective occupational therapy programmes tailored to individual or group needs.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, documenting patient progress and rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to junior members of the occupational therapy team.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across a range of clinical disciplines to ensure integrated, person-centred care.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all clinical practices meet regulatory, legal, and internal quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with patients, families, carers, and funding bodies throughout the rehabilitation journey.
  • Innovation & Best Practice: Contribute to service development and share innovations and best practices across the wider organisation.
Candidate Profile
  • BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council)
  • Previous experience in an Occupational Therapy role, ideally with exposure to neuro-rehabilitation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build therapeutic relationships and support individuals through challenging circumstances
  • Demonstrated resilience and the ability to adapt in a dynamic clinical environment
