Nursing Assistant

We are looking for motivated, hard-working, and enthusiastic individuals with excellent values to take up the role of Nursing Assistant within our Flexi-pool within the Carleton clinic site.

This is a fantastic role with opportunities to support across our range of inpatient clinical services including Acute inpatients, Inpatient Learning Disabilities and Older Peoples Inpatient services.

Main duties of the job

You must have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe, patient care and be a good role model in reflecting the Trusts core values. You will be provided with training opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, offered regular supervision and support, and have ongoing well-being conversations.

The Nursing Assistant role will aim:

  • To work within a multi-disciplinary team assisting in the development and implementation of collaborative, needs based care plans.
  • To support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred, nursing care.
  • They are actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
  • They are visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring service.
  • They contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
  • Deliver and maintain high standards of clinical care; implementing individual plans of care based on a person centred assessment.
  • Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
  • Assist in the delivery of therapeutic clinical based interventions and activities which meet individual needs embracing equality and diversity.
  • Engage in regular family/carer contact/support to encourage collaborative decision making.
