RCC invites you to apply for an Adjunct Nursing Instructor position at our Glenns and Warsaw campuses and our remote clinical agencies to provide laboratory and clinical supervision for all levels of nursing students. Several part‑time opportunities are available:

  • Nursing Didactic/Laboratory/Clinical Instructors (s) for the Practical Nursing (PN) program
  • Nurse Aide Instructor(s)

Nursing faculty work across programs to provide for the educational needs of students. Adjunct instructors are invited and encouraged to participate in the governance of the nursing unit.

These positions may be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Minimum Qualifications

Nursing Didactic Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program: Master’s degree in Nursing, or hold a baccalaureate degree and be actively enrolled in a graduate program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.

Nursing Laboratory/Clinical Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program: Baccalaureate degree or hold an associate degree and be actively enrolled in a baccalaureate program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.

Nursing Didactic/Laboratory/Clinical Instructors (s) for the Practical Nursing (PN) program: Baccalaureate degree in nursing, or hold an associate degree and be actively enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.

Nurse Aide Instructor(s): Licensed practical nurse, at least one‑year direct client care experience as a nurse. Evidence of completion of the Nurse Aide Train‑the‑Trainer course or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Nursing Didactic Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program: Critical Care, Maternal‑Child Nursing, Pediatric Nursing and/or Mental Health Nursing experience desirable in addition to medical/surgical experience. At least one year of experience teaching pre‑licensure education preferred. Must possess a strong desire to teach adult learners.

Nursing Laboratory/Clinical Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program: Critical Care, Maternal‑Child Nursing, Pediatric Nursing and/or Mental Health Nursing experience desirable in addition to medical/surgical experience. At least one year of experience teaching pre‑licensure education preferred. Must possess a strong desire to teach adult learners.

Nursing Didactic/Laboratory/Clinical Instructors (s) for the Practical Nursing (PN) program: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) with the above experience plus long‑term care experience. At least one year of experience teaching pre‑licensure education is preferred.

Nurse Aide Instructor(s): At least one year of experience teaching pre‑licensure education.
