Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
  • Solid knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.

Salary: Up to £15.70 per hour

Contract: 40 hours per week/ Full Time

About the Nursery

Tops Mini Mariners Nursery is a 36-place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Mini Mariners, Taunton. The nursery runs several extra-curricular activities including Cooking school, Boogie Mites, Yoga, Toothbrushing, Football fun and much more.

About the Nursery Trainee Manager Role

As a Nursery Trainee Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role is designed for individuals aspiring to develop management skills within a childcare setting. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and staff to promote high standards of care and education.

What does the Nursery Trainee Manager role involve?
  • Assist in overseeing daily nursery activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to train, mentor, and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare.
  • Monitor and support the developmental progress of children, implementing appropriate educational activities and assessments.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and promoting nursery events and initiatives.
  • Help manage administrative tasks, including attendance records, incident reports, and budgeting.
  • Assist in the implementation of nursery policies and procedures, ensuring adherence by staff and parents.
  • Promote a safe and hygienic environment, conducting regular safety checks and maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team, contributing ideas to enhance the overall quality of care and education.

  • A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
  • Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
