Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Third in Charge to join our Nursery team in Milton Keynes. You will be providing exceptional care and early childhood education to children in our nursery.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, ensuring their safety, development, and well‑being in a nurturing environment. The role would suit someone who has previously worked as an Early Years Practitioner then Room Leader and looking for the next step up.

  • Salary: £26,000 - £28,400 per annum
Main Duties
  • Supporting the room leaders and practitioners to help manage their rooms and ensure the nursery standards are adhered to at all times
  • Create an environment that supports the individual needs of all children
  • Maintain systems to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of our childcare practices.
  • Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers.
  • Maintain open and positive working relationships with staff.
  • Ensure that practices and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Assist in agreeing and reviewing individual targets with staff.
  • Assume playroom and additional management responsibilities when required.
  • Keep costs in line with the agreed budgets.
Person Specification
  • A minimum of a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification
