Qualifications

  • At least 1 year’s experience in a Nursery Practitioner role or equivalent leadership.
  • Ability to build a culture of kindness, transparency and commitment as a leader.
  • Experience of leading Ofsted inspections and clear understanding of EYFS.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Nursery Room Manager to be based in Greenwich Nursery to join our management team to lead and inspire early years practitioners to deliver the highest care and education for all children. The nursery offers state‑of‑the‑art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas.

Room Manager salary is up to 31,200k per annum, depending on experience. Working full time (40 hours per week – 5 days a week).

Key Qualifications
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a Nursery Practitioner role or equivalent leadership
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and statutory framework
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to use your own initiative to lead and inspire a team
  • Passion shown in day‑to‑day interaction with children
  • Flexibility and role‑model behaviour
  • Excellent time‑management and commitment to delivering the highest quality education and care
  • Experience of leading Ofsted inspections and clear understanding of EYFS
  • Ability to build a culture of kindness, transparency and commitment as a leader
Things you need to know
  • This position requires an Enhanced DBS Certificate and satisfactory employment references.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undertake online safeguarding training. All positions are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check from the DBS.

The welcome bonus will be paid in two instalments. £500 will be paid in the first salary payment after joining, then another £500 upon completion of probation (6 months, unless extended). The welcome bonus is subject to normal tax and NI deductions.
