• Adhering to the Policies & Procedures of Nursery and compliance with the Children Act.
• Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery.
• Working as part of a team.
• The care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical and emotional needs.
• Planning activities to meet children's individual needs and liaising with parents.
• Offering equal opportunities to all children.
• Keeping development records and observations.
• Positive management of children's behaviour.
• Maintenance of the playrooms and equipment.
• Mentoring Nursery Assistants and Students.
• Keeping accident and risk assessment records.
• Supervision of meals and mealtimes.
• Laundry duties.
• Attendance of staff meetings.
• Participating in parents' evenings and open weekends.
• Any other duties as directed.
