Requirements & Experience
  • Qualification : Level 3 in childcare or Early Years Workforce (or equivalent : Diploma in Playgroup practice, NNEB, NVQIII).
  • Childcare Experience : 2 years (required), with at least 3 years preferred in the full description.
  • Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of EYFS and child development.
  • Skills : Excellent written and oral English communication, ability to plan workloads and set priorities, experience in a multi-cultural environment, and experience working in a team / exercising leadership.
Main Duties
  • Regularly review, develop, and monitor the curriculum and activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children, maintaining appropriate records.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver nurturing / recreational activities.
  • Implement effective health and safety procedures.

  • Ensure parents / carers are well informed of their children's progress.
  • Monitor children for potential language delays or special needs and discuss concerns with the SENCO.
  • Comply with all OFSTED requirements and nursery policies.
