NO AGENCIES PLEASE
As a transplant coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting patients through all aspects of the transplant pathway. This will involve working very closely with local, regional and national colleagues. The ability to develop close professional working relationships is an important aspect of this role.
You will work closely with the wider MDT to ensure you are fully informed of all the patient’s needs and also be able to identify any barriers to transplantation.
Patient education is a vital component of this role and the ability to work closely with patients and carers, assessing their own knowledge in relation to the impact of transplantation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are vital for this role; the transplant pathway can be very complex and, as such, the successful candidate must be able to coordinate all aspects of care and be the key point of contact for patients.
As part of this role there is an expectation that you will, on a rotational basis, provide a 24‑hour, 7‑day a week on‑call commitment to the service.
We are a flexible working friendly organisation, and we want to ensure that you can work in a way that is best for us, for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
