Job description

Are you passionate about using your Critical Care experience/skills as the Lead Nurse to provide/ support women requiring Enhanced Care. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Midwifery Team and will be responsible for the nurses within the clinical area.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Specialist Team focusing on upskilling the Nursing and Midwifery workforce as part of our Enhanced Maternal Care team.

The Post Holder Will Be Able To

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care for women in a safe and caring environment.

Work collaboratively with the designated midwifery team and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide Enhanced Maternity Care (EMC) across the unit/labour ward and ward areas as required.

Provide advice, support and skills training to junior nursing staff in the delivery of high‑quality care actively supporting the midwifery team in the management of level 1 plus care.

Please note-this is a cross site working role.

The Post Holder will require relevant post registration experience and a specialist qualification in Critical Care including experience of management, training, development and assessment. The post holder must be prepared to play a pivotal role in the development, empowerment, support and succession planning for our EMC service so will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and driven.
