Job summary

A leading healthcare trust in Manchester seeks an Events Officer to manage the Nowgen Events Team. The role involves providing diverse support for events and ensuring efficient operation through effective communication and relationship building. This position offers a salary between £31,049 and £37,796 (pro rata).

Nowgen Centre Events Officer

The closing date is 19 December 2025

Reporting to the R&I Estates and Facilities Officer, the post holder will provide day-to-day line management of the Nowgen Events Team, with responsibility for the effective daily operation of the Nowgen Centre.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will provide a diverse and innovative range of support to service users of the Centre on all events, equipment to aid learning, teaching, and administration.

The post holder will also support the marketing and oversee administration, booking and liaison, thus enabling the efficient and effective operation of the Centre. The post holder will be responsible for establishing a professional, response-oriented service to achieve the objectives of the Nowgen Events Team. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of staff for the facility and for establishing effective communication and relationships with all partners and key stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant qualification in Project or Events Management
Knowledge
  • Excellent level of computer literacy
  • Knowledge of IT and associated systems
  • Knowledge of PC system hardware and software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar products
  • Knowledge of operational management
  • Advanced knowledge of facilities management
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
