Overview

Our client, a leading US firm in London, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its highly ranked non-contentious construction team.

The practice advises on some of the most complex and high-value projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Clients include sovereign states, multinationals, state-owned companies, infrastructure funds, private equity houses and financial institutions. The work spans:

  • Transport infrastructure (airports, ports, rail, roads, water)
  • Energy, renewables, oil & gas, petrochemicals and hydrogen
  • Transmission infrastructure and data centres
  • Mining, metals and commercial property

This role offers exposure to major cross-border and cross-practice matters, working closely with colleagues in project finance, real estate, technology, M&A and private equity.

Candidate requirements
  • England & Wales (or other common law) qualified lawyer
  • Experience in front-end construction, EPC/EPCM contracts and project finance transactions
  • Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard forms (JCT, NEC, LOGIC)
  • Strong grasp of international construction law principles and risk allocation
  • Commercial awareness and a collaborative, client-focused mindset
