Position Type: Full Time, Part Time, Supply/Casual/Relief

Hours: 37 hours per week

Role Overview

The Social Care Worker is a key position, critical to the overall welfare of young people living in residential care and in the community. The primary purpose is to provide care and support to young people and young adults in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment. All work must comply with legislative, procedural, and good practice standards.

Key Responsibilities and Values

As a reflective practitioner, the Social Care Worker will actively promote the vision, values, and mission of Stepdown. This includes advocating for the rights of children, young people, and their families within quality care environments influenced by national legislative policies and procedures. Building relationships while maintaining confidentiality is essential. The role involves applying Equal Opportunities and Quality Assurance Frameworks, including delegated responsibilities for specific tasks.
