Job Details

Role: Night Shift Manufacturing Technician

Location: Hove

Hours: Monday to Thursday (4 Nights per week), 21:30 pm - 6:45 am

Pay: £15.87 per hour + Holiday

Fixed Term Contract until June 2026

Applicants MUST have worked with a Manufacturing or Production Environment!

Our client is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Night Shift Manufacturing Technician to support the production of pharmaceutical products. You'll assist with dispensing raw materials and carrying out processes such as granulation, blending, compression, and tablet coating while maintaining high GMP, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and clean equipment, following SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records.
  • Complete documentation accurately and perform in-process checks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support training where needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to follow instructions with accuracy.
  • Understanding of the importance of quality standards.
  • Work safely, showing consideration and concern for self and colleague.
  • Good general standard of education, specifically in English language and maths.
The Role
  • Manufacture pharmaceuticals by assisting in the dispensing of raw materials or the granulation, blending, compression or coating of tablets.
  • Be actively involved in continuous improvement of quality and efficiency in agreed departments within the facility.
  • Maintain defined standards of Safety, GMP and Production Output.
  • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Assist in the training of staff in accordance with Company procedures and processes.
  • Comply with the Health and Safety Policy and Health and Safety Policy Procedures.
  • Carry out operations in such a way as not to present a risk to the health and safety of themselves and others.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) instructions.
  • Operate machines in accordance with SOP and BMR instructions.
  • Clean equipment and work areas in accordance with SOP and BMR instructions.
  • Follow detailed written processing instructions including BMR's and SOP's.
  • Accurately complete BMR's including use of simple mathematical calculations.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by Management.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all aspects of completing set tasks.
  • Carry out IPC testing as and when required.
