Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to install camera hardware across the West Midlands. The role involves overnight work, travel to customer sites, and hands-on installation with power tools.

A full valid UK driving licence and willingness to work nights/weekends are required. The position is a fixed-term contract (6 months) with a minimum of 20 hours per week, on-the-road and at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in a technician role or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
• Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail to ensure high-quality installations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware and configure to company standards.
• Respond to installation requests and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation work, parts used and time spent.
• Onboard and scan products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely during installations.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures on site.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
• Ensure installation tasks meet quality standards.
