Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding operations in the UK and seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician to complete installations for our customers in Birmingham. This role involves overnight visits to sites and accountability for successful deployment and adoption of our system.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable using power tools. The fixed-term contract runs 6 months at 20 hours per week, with a potential extension based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or installations.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina for long shifts and walking/standing during installations.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet quality standards.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors, teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware and configure to company standards.
• Respond to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain records of activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Onboard products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during installations.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure quality installations.
• Meet KPIs for speed and quality.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
