Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding across the UK and seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician to install our camera hardware at customer sites, often overnight. This 6-month contract, 20 hours per week, requires you to manage installations end-to-end, meet quality and speed KPIs, and work nights and weekends as needed.

You must have a valid UK driving licence and reliable transport to travel to sites. The role emphasizes physical stamina, safe use of power tools, and precise record-keeping while

Qualifications

• Proven field technician experience in installation or field service.
• Strong technical aptitude; able to diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physically able to work nights and weekends and handle long shifts.
• Detail-oriented with good time-management and safety-consciousness.
• Good communication with supervisors and customers; reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware, mounting, wiring and configuring per standards.
• Respond quickly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain records of installations, parts used and time spent.
• Onboard/sca nning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely installations and quality.
