Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform installations for customers across Lancashire and the UK. The role involves overnight work, on-site visits, and travel to client sites, with hands-on installation of camera hardware and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience in field service, installation, construction, or related field.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Excellent physical stamina for long shifts (up to 9 hours).
• Detail-oriented with quality-focused approach.
• Good time management under deadlines.
• Strong communication with supervisors, teammates and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware: mounting, connecting and configuring per standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests; meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities, parts used and time spent.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks during visits.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
• Maintain high attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed speed and quality KPIs.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and teammates.
• Comply with company policies at all times.
