Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to install camera hardware at customer sites across the UK. This role involves overnight work, strict adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of installations.

You will travel to sites with a valid UK driving licence, operate power tools, and meet customer SLAs while documenting all installation activities and parts used. The position runs for 6 months with 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience in similar roles.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use power tools and installation equipment.
• Good physical stamina for long shifts.
• Detail-oriented with precision.
• Effective time management and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Installation of camera hardware: mounting, connecting and configuring per company standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and ensure customer SLAs are met.
• Maintain records of installation activities, including parts used and time spent.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed speed and quality KPIs consistently.
• Communicate progress to supervisors and team members about issues during visits.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
