Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding operations in the West Midlands and seeks a Field Service Technician to install our camera hardware at customer sites. The role involves overnight work, traveling to sites, and using power tools to meet installation quality standards.

This is a fixed-term contract (6 months) for at least 20 hours per week, with pay of £17 per hour. A full UK driving licence and reliable transport are required; nights and weekend work should be expected.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience in related fields.
• Strong technical aptitude for diagnosing hardware/software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Valid UK driving licence with reliable transport.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware at customer sites following company standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Record installation activities, parts used, and time spent using company tools.
• Onboard/scan products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols during installation visits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Maintain high attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed speed and quality KPIs.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors and team.
• Adhere to company policies at all times.
