Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
• Support preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and reporting packs.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using cloud-based accounting software.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Respond to client queries and support meetings alongside senior colleagues.
• Work with partners and managers on advisory work and business planning projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing year‑end accounts for a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, with senior review
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and reporting packs
• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using cloud‑based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow)
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Responding to client queries and supporting meetings alongside senior colleagues
• Working with partners and managers on ad‑hoc advisory work and business planning projects
• Using cloud accounting tools to support clients and improve processes

About You

• Newly qualified or recently qualified ACA or ACCA
• Trained within a UK accountancy practice
• Keen to develop strong commercial awareness and client‑facing confidence
• Comfortable working with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Confident using Excel, Word, and Outlook
