New Build Conveyancing Fee-Earner

Location: Colchester, Essex

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced New Build Conveyancing Fee-Earner to join a growing and well-established legal team based in Colchester.

This role is ideal for a legal professional with a strong background in New Build property transactions, looking to further their career in a supportive and progressive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload and delivering a high standard of client care throughout the conveyancing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a full caseload of New Build residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork
• Liaising effectively with clients, developers, estate agents, lenders and third parties
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements
• Maintaining accurate case records and meeting all key deadlines

Person Specification

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in New Build conveyancing (essential)
• Experience with Shared Ownership schemes (desirable, but not essential)
• Excellent knowledge of conveyancing procedures and residential property law
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and handle files from start to finish
• Professional, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
