Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Barts Health NHS Trust to join our team as a Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) Research Nurse. This role will focus on developing and expanding our commercial research portfolio across Barts Health, Homerton, Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals, as part of the Northeast London CRDC.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for clinically managing and delivering own portfolio of commercial research studies across a range of specialty areas.
  • Provide research support to investigators, working closely with consultants, specialist nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate all aspects of research trials including identification, enrolment, randomisation, screening, collection and preparation of biological samples, data entry and patient follow‑up.
  • Develop specialised skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of clinical trials, in line with GCP requirements and local operating procedures.
  • Provide patients with advice and information to enable informed choices, acting as patient advocate.
  • Travel across different sites within the trust and to external meetings; work flexibly as needed.
  • Uphold highest standards of care for patients and research participants, ensuring activity complies with Good Clinical Practice, ethical requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
