Job description

Morgan Ward NDT Ltd is Europe's largest provider of on-wing NDT support, and one of the world's leading providers of Non-Destructive Testing services to the aerospace and general engineering sectors.

The Morgan Ward NDT group originally began as a small fish in a big pond; with tireless dedication and commitment from its employees, the business now stretches across the UK and Europe: the world is our oyster! With its main bases situated in Prestwick, Manchester and Stansted, and satellite sites dotted across multiple locations in the UK, too, Morgan Ward NDT is able to provide unparalleled support to its wealth of customers. The group also spans across the EU, including permanent bases in Poland, Lithuania, and Germany - to name just a few - providing unmatched support to one of our largest accounts, a well-known commercial airline, as well as providing general support across Europe to look after our other valued customers.

With the company's phenomenal success, rapid expansion, and the very real vision and hunger for growing our operations further, there are exciting opportunities for experienced L2 NDT Technicians to join the company's exceptional contract NDT team, which houses many experienced NDT professionals from across the globe.

Qualifications
  • Possess experience of a minimum of 3 methods, working in accordance with EN 4179 to L2 in PT, UT, ET (additional MT and RT would be a bonus)
  • Proven background in aviation NDT from working in a Part 145 organisation and working to aerospace specifications
  • Ideally experienced in both line maintenance and heavy maintenance NDT inspections
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, great attention to detail, and confident skills in accurate paperwork
  • Ideally possess knowledge and hands‑on experience of working with a variety of aircraft

Since we have our fingers in many pies, there is scope for work all over the UK and Europe during your contract with us. We're currently interested in securing additional support at our eastern European facilities - all heavy maintenance bases - in Lithuania and Poland. Our NDT requirements will take you to these places, with a need to integrate you at our UK facilities (if you're a British passport holder) to ensure that we meet the requirements of the Schengen Area's 90 / 180 day rule, or if you're an EU passport holder, we have plenty of work at our many European bases to involve you in.

You’ll be paid a fixed day rate (sum disclosed upon application) + accommodation and flights / travel provided, too, with the option of working on a month on / month off basis (with fixed hours) to accommodate other contract work you may have, or a full‑time contract on a rolling / ongoing basis. To join our contract NDT team, you must either be a British passport holder or hold a European passport, and you must have your own Ltd company / be self‑employed.

To come and join our team and be treated like another member of the Morgan Ward family, please send your CV in confidence to Leanne Evans, HR/Recruitment Manager
