Job description

NDT Technician required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with over 20 worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff. This employer is recognised globally for quality and innovative deliverables.

The successful NDT Technician will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct various inspections, including Visual Inspection (VI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Nital Etch inspection (NE) of forgings, machine components, and weldments.
  • Analyse inspection results, identify potential flaws, interpret standards, and document findings according to established procedures.
  • Raise non‑conformance reports in line with the non‑conformance management procedure.
  • Assist in resolving shop floor issues related to machining, welding, heat treatment, or metallurgical causes.
Qualifications
  • PCN Level 2 Minimum in Visual, MPI, DPI and UT Forgings
  • Experienced in preparing detailed reports outlining inspection findings, defects and interpreting specifications and standards
  • Manual handling and training experience
  • ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor trained
Salary & Benefits
  • £37,379 – £44,107.22
  • 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday – Rotating shifts – Morning and afternoon
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Company pension contributions up to 8%
