A leading NHS Trust in Wakefield is seeking two Research Registrars in Burns and Plastic Surgery. The role merges clinical and academic tasks aimed at passionate doctors looking to advance to registrar level. Post holders will develop clinical audit and research projects, supported by experienced supervisors. These posts offer an exciting opportunity for the post holders to combine clinical and academic roles and are aimed at doctors who are passionate about plastic surgery and wish to step up to registrar level clinical duties and build their portfolios for ST3 applications. These posts are not recognised UK training posts. Nevertheless, our MYDoc doctors will have a named supervisor and be supported in undertaking scheduled educational opportunities to consolidate and develop their portfolios.
An introduction to the Division/Specialty: An opportunity has arisen for dynamic and motivated doctors to join our Plastic Surgery Department for an initial fixed term of 6 months. The post holder may be offered an extension provided satisfactory progress based on research output, consultant feedback, and documented progress on ISCP portfolio.

During the appointment the Research Fellows will undertake both clinical and research work. The post holders will be required to develop clinical audit and research projects ultimately aiming for national and international presentations and publications.
