Music Teacher - South London
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate, dedicated, and highly skilled Music Teacher to join a dynamic and creative music department at a thriving London school. This full‑time, permanent position offers the chance to inspire pupils from Reception to Year 6 through engaging and inclusive music education, both in the classroom and through extensive co‑curricular opportunities.

- Salary : Above the national scale, with Inner London Allowance
Your Responsibilities :
- Deliver high-quality music lessons from Reception to Year 6
- Plan and implement schemes of work that ensure progression and continuity
- Promote and model high teaching standards while setting realistic and challenging goals.
- Work closely with the Director of Music to support and develop the music curriculum.
- Assist in organising and delivering school concerts, productions, and singing assemblies.
- Keep detailed records of student progress and contribute to twice‑yearly reports.
- Support pupils with a range of needs in collaboration with SENCo and other staff.
- Foster a vibrant music culture through extracurricular activities, including choirs, ensembles, and trips.

- Degree (or equivalent) in Music.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.

- Proven experience directing choirs, ensembles, and leading school performances.
- Proficient in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
- Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.
