We are looking for a clinician who is passionate about the care they give to patients and who wants to make a real difference in diabetic foot care.

At NELFT, we have secured significant and long‑term transformation funding and are undertaking an ambitious and exciting programme of co‑design with our partners in the Integrated Care Board (ICB), primary care networks (PCN) and secondary care. Our aim is to improve and enhance our service delivery to meet the challenges that face our diabetic population in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge through integration and collaboration. We want to improve patient outcomes to help our residents reduce the risk of developing active limb‑threatening or life‑threatening diabetic foot problems.

In return, we can offer you access to dedicated and personalised training and development in your chosen speciality, flexible working with our blended approach to new ways of working, including rotational opportunities and an unmissable chance to be part of something great that will shape the delivery of these services for years to come.

The post holder will be a member of the Diabetes Foot Protection Service (FPS) and will be responsible for providing evidence‑based comprehensive assessment, review and treatment and support the team by delivering this service to the local population at moderate and high risk. They will take lead responsibility for delivering high quality, timely, accessible and evidence‑based services for patients requiring MSK clinical intervention.

The post holder will work within agreed local care pathways, codes of practice and professional standards, specifically embedding Clinical quality guidelines.

Experienced podiatrists will provide specialist and complex podiatry care for a range of acute and chronic foot pathologies within community settings. The post holder will complement the service by using their first‑class assessment, diagnostic and communication skills to develop programmes of care and their clinical expertise to implement treatment plans.

Our Values 2025 – 2030
  • We are kind.
  • We are respectful.
  • We work together with our communities.
Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period.
