Job description

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting on behalf of our client, a producer and wholesaler of fine foods for over 30 years, including, cheese, oils, cured meats & much more!

TEMP TO PERM (13 weeks)

£29,571.36 per annum once perm

BONUS £42.50 per week (paid if all shifts are completed on time and no accidents)

Night shifts, Sunday to Thursday 11pm, 8 hour shifts (40hrs per week)

Duties expected of a Van Driver:

• Multi-drop deliveries of chilled high-end fine foods (cheese, oils, olives, cured eats, yogurts and more!)
• Palletised deliveries to wholesalers, butchers, cheesemongers etc. in and round Central London
• Loading and unloading of pallets is involved
• Prechecking deliveries before leaving depot
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Van Driver Requirements:

• Valid UK CAT B licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN)
• You must be over the age of 25 years for insurance purposes
• You must have at least 5 years experience as a van driver (references required)
• No more than 1 hour commute for you to travel to work
• Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
