Working on local authority housing stock

We're looking for an experienced Multi Trade Carpenter to join a well-established property maintenance contractor delivering repairs and refurbishment works across Cambridge.

This is a full-time, ongoing contract role with the potential for long-term work for reliable and skilled operatives.

About the Role

Working across occupied and void social housing properties, you'll be responsible for:

  • Completing a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations:

    • Hanging doors, fitting kitchen units, worktops, skirting, architraves
    • Window board repairs, lock replacements, handles and ironmongery
  • Carrying out basic multi-trade tasks such as:

    • Patch plastering, tiling, basic plumbing, painting & decorating
  • Logging work and updates using a PDA or mobile device

  • Ensuring all work meets required standards and complies with health & safety procedures

  • Providing a professional and respectful service to tenants in occupied homes

What You'll Need
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience)
  • Competency in additional trades (tiling, patch plastering, basic plumbing, decorating)
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Previous experience working in social housing, council housing, or domestic property maintenance

What's On Offer
