The successful candidate will perform maintenance tasks, respond to breakdowns, and ensure compliance with GxP standards. Essential qualifications include post-apprenticeship experience and a recognized engineering qualification. Responsibilities

  • Carry out corrective and preventive instrumentation maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities to GxP standards.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels.

  • Carry out corrective and preventive instrumentation maintenance tasks generated through the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to restore functionality.
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are completed according to schedule.
  • Identify and propose improvements to maintenance plans, collaborating with the Engineering Workshop Supervisor to keep PM plans accurate, relevant, and compliant.
  • Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities to GxP standards, ensuring both paper records and CMMS entries are complete and accurate, with clear reporting.
  • Contribute to small projects as needed, including design, installation, commissioning, or modifications of minor systems.
  • Continuously seek innovative, cost‑effective methods to perform work without compromising safety or quality.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of materials, equipment, and spare parts; highlight shortages to enable timely restocking.
  • Execute all tasks to the highest safety standards, proactively addressing hazards and risks, and escalating issues to management for immediate action.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders impacted by maintenance activities, minimizing disruption where possible and keeping them informed of progress and expected completion timelines.
Essential Requirements
  • Post apprenticeship experiences as an Instrumentation/Controls Multi Skilled Technician City and Guilds accredited or equivalent recognised formal qualification in core engineering discipline/secondary engineering discipline.
  • Broad based knowledge and interest in mechanical, systems and maintenance.
  • Understanding of GxP principals.
Desirable Requirements
  • GMP manufacturing equipment.
  • Recognised formal qualification in secondary control discipline or equivalent experience in Control Systems.
  • Knowledge of Boiler Operations (gas) and Water Systems covering compliance with L8 Regulations Cooling Towers.
  • Knowledge of high integrity PCS and PLC programming
