A local council in the United Kingdom is seeking a member for its housing repairs team, responsible for approximately 20,000 repairs annually. The ideal candidate will have significant building maintenance experience, capable of day-to-day repairs and complete refits of bathrooms and kitchens. This is a dynamic role requiring competence in a range of repairs, offering a 37-hour workweek, 24 days of paid leave, a pension scheme, training opportunities, and workwear provision.
An opportunity has arisen to join this highly motivated Housing repairs team, which is responsible for carrying out approximately 20,000 repairs to council properties every year.
You should have considerable experience of building maintenance in all areas of work (excluding gas, electrics and decorating works).
The ideal candidate should be competent to carry out day – day repairs and complete bathroom and kitchen refits to council properties.

37-hour week, at least 24 days paid leave a year plus bank holidays, a career average earnings pension scheme, training opportunities and corporate work wear. We also provide the use of a van to travel to and from work. This position may involve participation in the out of hours call out rota.
