Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

£57,800

12 hour days & nights - rotates to give two long weekends in every four weeks

Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their production facility in The Wirral. Our client is looking for driven and passionate engineers, with a pro‑active mind‑set and a desire to drive improvements. In addition, there are tangible opportunities to develop into a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and GMP compliance
• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance support across all production areas
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues
• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime
• Highlight areas for performance improvement and reliability across the site
• Involved in continuous improvement project work

Qualifications

• Level 3 apprentice trained or equivalent (electrical or mechanical)
• Strong usability to multi skill
• Experienced in a maintenance role within automated manufacturing with food / FMCG being advantageous but not essential
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with CMMS systems and MS Office tools
• Analytical and systematic approach to problem‑solving
• Passion, drive and a 'can do' attitude
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
