Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Engineer based in Sheffield Green. You will be responsible for maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, and general fabric work. This mobile role requires a Full Driving Licence and the ability to work independently and in teams. Ideal candidates will possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, along with flexibility to manage various tasks and be on call one week in four.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within defined SLAs.
  • Contribute to overall efficiency and effectiveness of contract profitability.
  • Complete service sheets and update compliance logbooks.
  • Undertake contractor control duties and monitor their workmanship.
  • Support site supervisor in delivering contracted services on time.

Job description

We are looking for an Engineer who is skilled in Maintenance and is happy to do general Electrical, Plumbing and Fabric work. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
  • Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
  • To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly.
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • The role is mobile, so a Full Driving Licence is required.
  • Mechanical knowledge - basic understanding.

  • Legionella awareness - training will be given.
